How it started
My love of art started when I was very young. My mother taught me to sew and my grandmother taught me to paint, my father taught me wood working. For as long as I can remember I wanted to create, and I was lucky to have a family full of creative people willing to teach me.

Becoming a teacher
I have always enjoyed sharing my passions and hobbies with others. I became a substitute teacher when my oldest started school, and a school bus driver. In 2015, my middle child started at a local child care center and I was asked if I would ever want to substitute teach there. I instantly said yes and I am still there even though my youngest is now in public school.

My credentials and experiance
I am first aid/CPR certified. I have completed mandated reporter training and Vermont Orientation Training. I am currently in school for Early Childhood Education and working on my Fundamentals class. I have been teaching art classes and camps since summer of 2024. I have worked in child care since January 2015.

My own art
I have tried most things. As a person with ADHD, my interests often jumped from thing to thing. This allowed me to learn a lot of different creative outlets. My personal art choices are ceramics, macrame, sewing and the newest is crochet. I also needle and wet felt, sculpt, and paint. I enjoy woodworking and building, designing clothing and fabric and I have recently gotten back into digital art. I will willing to learn most art techniques and there is a good chance I know how to do whatever form of art you want to learn, except knit, no matter how many times and people try to teach me, I cannot figure out knitting.
